This is the third in a series of posts leading up to Christmas 2016. There will be four posts each with my arrangement of a well known Christmas carol. I’m not going to explain anything about how I’ve made it my own or why I’ve done what I’ve done, but I hope you will listen to them and enjoy them. I will give you the lyrics for each carol in case you’re interested though!
Away In A Manger
Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet hear.
The stars in the bright sky looked down where he lay,
The little Lord Jesus, a sleep on the hay.
The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes,
But little Lord Jesus no crying he makes.
I love thee, Lord Jesus! Look down from the sky,
And stay by my side until morning is nigh.
Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask thee to stay
Close by me forever, and love me, I pray.
Bless all the dear children in thy tender care,
And fit us for heaven, to live with thee there.
